MASS ART FILM/VIDEO -

Film 1

The first semester of the sophomore film major will introduce the student to non-synchronous 16mm filmmaking, with an emphasis on experimental, exploratory film techniques. Through a series of class exercises and individual student assignments, students explore 16mm non-synchronous production, basic lighting, and analog film editing techniques. The emphasis of this class is on the student finding a personal means of expression using the film medium.
