In this second semester required sophomore film course students develop their personal skills and ideas in 16mm film production. In this class students will explore an in depth use of the Arri-S and the Arri-BL Sync cameras, lenses and filters. In addition, students will study the principles of lighting and exposures for color film stocks and practice how to work with the Lab for color digital transfers. The equipment and demonstrations are explored within a context defined by the history, aesthetics, and theory of film practice.
